First Visit
We are always excited to meet new patients, and we consider it an honor to care for you. To make your first visit as smooth as possible, here is what to bring and what to expect.
Before Your First Visit
Please do the following if you are scheduled for an in-office consultation:
- Complete the registration form ahead of time, or arrive 15 minutes early to fill it out
- Bring your dental and medical insurance cards
- Bring a list of your current medications
- Bring your referral slip and any x-rays from your dentist, if applicable
- Let our team know if you require antibiotics before dental procedures
- Medical power of attorney paperwork if appropriate
All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the consultation.
What to Expect
During your visit, our oral surgeons will perform a comprehensive oral exam, review your x-rays, and discuss your treatment goals. In some cases, the consultation and surgery can be done the same day. For patients requesting IV sedation or general anesthesia — or those with a complex treatment plan or medical history, a separate consultation with the treating surgeon is usually performed before surgery.
